The opportunity

What this employer wants is easy to read from the brief: a technician who can walk into a home, work out why a fridge, washer or oven has stopped working, and fix it without someone looking over their shoulder. The role covers the full range of domestic appliances, dishwashers, dryers and cooktops included, across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

  • Work out what is wrong with refrigerators, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, ovens and cooktops
  • Service and repair household appliances at customers' homes across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the surrounding area
  • Plan and run your own service calls with little supervision

Requirements and eligibility

  • Aptitude or experience in servicing and repairing household appliances
  • Apprentices completing an electrical or refrigeration apprenticeship are welcome to apply, particularly those with service and fault-finding experience
  • Restricted or full electrical licence
  • A valid driver's licence
  • Strong diagnostic skills
  • The ability to work independently
