Arborist

A leading vegetation management company in New Zealand is seeking qualified or experienced Arborists to join their growing team.

This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy outdoor work, are physically fit, and take pride in delivering high-quality arboriculture and vegetation management services across commercial and residential projects.

• Carry out tree maintenance and vegetation management work
• Operate chainsaws, pole saws, climbing equipment, and brushwood chippers
• Perform pruning, trimming, and tree removal tasks safely and efficiently
• Work across residential, commercial, urban, and rural environments
• Identify tree and shrub species accurately
• Follow workplace safety procedures and industry standards
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicles properly
• Work collaboratively within field crews and project teams

• NZQA Arborist Level 3 or Level 4 qualification, or relevant industry experience
• Experience using climbing equipment and arborist tools
• Sound knowledge of tree and shrub identification
• Good level of physical fitness
• Class 1 driver’s licence required; Class 2 advantageous
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to work outdoors in varying environments
• Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented mindset
