Automotive Mechanic / Technician

A growing automotive business in New South Wales is seeking a skilled and trade-qualified Automotive Technician with at least 3 years of post-apprenticeship experience. This is a permanent opportunity for an experienced technician who values quality workmanship, modern diagnostic technology and a supportive team environment.

The position is available on a permanent full-time or permanent part-time basis, Monday to Friday, with flexible start and finish times available for suitable candidates. Sponsorship is available for an eligible overseas applicant.

• Perform logbook servicing and scheduled vehicle maintenance
• Carry out mechanical inspections and repairs across a range of vehicle makes and models
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic and scan tools
• Identify faults efficiently and recommend appropriate repair solutions
• Complete accurate service and repair documentation
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and workshop efficiency
• Communicate professionally with customers when explaining vehicle faults and completed repairs
• Work collaboratively with the workshop team to maintain a productive and positive environment
• Use workshop equipment and diagnostic technology safely and effectively

• Trade qualification such as Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent qualification
• Minimum 3 years of post-apprenticeship automotive mechanical experience
• Experience working across a variety of vehicle makes and models
• Strong mechanical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Confidence using modern scan tools and diagnostic equipment
• Reliable, efficient and quality-focused approach to work
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence or ability to meet the licensing requirements
