Baker

A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Baker to join a well-established bakery in New South Wales. This is a permanent full-time position offering an annual salary of $77,000–$80,000 plus superannuation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing a wide range of high-quality baked products while maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene, and production standards. This role is ideal for a qualified baker who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering consistent quality and outstanding customer satisfaction.

• Prepare, measure, and mix ingredients using commercial bakery equipment
• Produce a variety of breads, rolls, buns, pastries, and savoury products
• Shape, mould, and finish dough and baked goods by hand where required
• Monitor proofing, baking temperatures, and baking times to achieve consistent product quality
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality, appearance, and freshness standards
• Operate commercial bakery equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ingredient ordering
• Plan daily production to meet customer demand
• Work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced bakery environment

• Certificate III in Baking or an equivalent qualification is preferred
• Minimum two years of experience as a Baker in a commercial bakery
• Previous experience in a high-volume retail bakery environment is highly regarded
• Strong knowledge of dough preparation, proofing, and baking techniques
• Experience operating commercial bakery equipment safely and effectively
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to product quality
• Good understanding of food safety and workplace health and safety requirements
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including early morning, mid-morning, and late morning starts
• Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet production deadlines
