Carpet & Flooring Installer
The Opportunity
This Christchurch flooring business is recruiting on more than one level. It wants experienced carpet and flooring installers, senior installers able to lead jobs, and keen people wanting to learn the trade, with juniors, existing apprentices and would-be apprentices all invited. Several candidates may be taken on.
Day to day you would work on residential and light commercial installs around Christchurch and the surrounding area, in a permanent full-time role of at least 37.5 hours each week, generally 40 to 42 and mostly weekdays, with occasional extra hours. Senior hires carry a job through to completion and coordinate a second installer or small crew; trainees learn next to experienced installers.
AEWV applicants are welcome, including people who need the employer to support, or sponsor, their application for an Accredited Employer Work Visa. Employment is subject to gaining the appropriate New Zealand work rights.
To stand out, mirror the duties listed here. Seniors should show jobs they have run and crews they have supported; trainees should show reliability and hands-on interest. Lead your CV with those, then match your CV to this flooring brief in Build AI CV.
