The Opportunity

A verified hospitality opportunity is available for an experienced Cook/Chef to join a professional kitchen team in Western Australia. This role is suited to a skilled culinary professional who can confidently prepare authentic fusion-style breakfast, lunch and dinner while maintaining high standards of taste, presentation, consistency and food safety.

You will play an important role in daily kitchen operations, working with the kitchen team to deliver a diverse menu and a quality dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch and dinner across a fusion-style menu
  • Organise and prepare the kitchen, cooking equipment, utensils and ingredients before service
  • Review recipes and make appropriate adjustments to ingredients and preparation methods
  • Maintain efficient food preparation and ensure meals are served within required timeframes
  • Coordinate and delegate tasks among kitchen team members
  • Communicate daily specials and menu information to front-of-house staff
  • Maintain high standards of food presentation and portion consistency
  • Supervise kitchen staff and provide hands-on assistance during service
  • Adapt dishes to accommodate reasonable customer dietary requirements and requests
  • Monitor food supplies, stock levels and ingredient requirements
  • Assist with ordering ingredients and maintaining appropriate inventory levels
  • Inspect food quality and freshness and remove expired or unsuitable products
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and comply with food hygiene and sanitation standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment including grills, fryers, ovens and other commercial appliances safely

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Proven experience working as a Chef or Cook in a fusion-style kitchen
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant kitchen experience
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, recipes and food preparation
  • Hands-on experience operating commercial grills, fryers, ovens and kitchen equipment
  • Knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques
  • Ability to lead, supervise and support kitchen team members
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to remain calm and productive in a busy kitchen environment
  • Understanding of food safety, hygiene and sanitation requirements
  • Ability to follow recipes while making appropriate adjustments where required
  • Australia work authorisation or eligibility for visa sponsorship
  • Willingness to work in Western Australia
