The Opportunity

A leading hospitality group is seeking an experienced Group Executive Chef to provide senior culinary leadership across multiple food and beverage operations in New South Wales.

This is a high-level opportunity for a proven kitchen leader who can manage large teams, maintain consistent food standards and drive commercial performance across a multi-venue operation. The successful candidate will oversee more than 60 kitchen staff and support operations producing over 12,000 meals each week.

The role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness and the ability to build reliable, high-performing kitchen teams while maintaining exceptional food quality and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a kitchen team of more than 60 staff across multiple venues
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, food preparation, presentation and service standards
  • Develop menus and maintain consistent food quality across all outlets
  • Monitor food costs, labour budgets, purchasing and stock control
  • Drive kitchen profitability and improve operational efficiency
  • Recruit, train, develop and retain skilled kitchen team members
  • Maintain food safety, workplace health and safety and regulatory compliance
  • Work collaboratively with venue managers and senior management
  • Monitor team performance and implement improvements where required
  • Support consistent customer dining experiences across all venues
  • Identify opportunities to improve kitchen systems, productivity and cost control
  • Provide strategic and hands-on culinary leadership across the group

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Proven experience as a Group Executive Chef, Executive Chef or similar senior kitchen leadership position
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing large kitchen teams
  • Strong knowledge of food costs, labour management, purchasing and operational budgets
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
  • Strong commercial and operational understanding of hospitality businesses
  • Hands-on leadership approach with the ability to develop and empower team members
  • Experience working across multiple hospitality venues or hotel operations is highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of food safety, workplace health and safety and relevant regulations
  • Ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Experience with visa sponsorship or international recruitment processes is advantageous
