Chefs and Cooks

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Chef to join a professional aged-care catering team in NSW. The role focuses on preparing fresh, nutritious and high-quality meals that meet the individual dietary, texture and cultural needs of residents. Experience with South American cuisine, including Brazilian, Peruvian, Colombian, Argentinian or Chilean food, is highly valued.

• Prepare fresh and nutritious meals in a commercial kitchen
• Prepare meals according to dietary and texture-modified requirements, including IDDSI
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and food safety
• Contribute to a positive dining experience for residents
• Work closely with kitchen and care teams
• Assist with menu planning and meal preparation
• Monitor stock levels and minimise food waste
• Prepare varied and culturally appropriate meals
• Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic kitchen environment

• Commercial kitchen experience as a Chef
• Relevant cooking qualifications
• Experience or strong knowledge of South American cuisine preferred
• Understanding of dietary and texture-modified requirements
• Ability to work in a high-volume kitchen environment
• Strong food safety and hygiene knowledge
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Aged-care and IDDSI experience desirable
