An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Chef to join a well-established restaurant in Queensland, Australia. This full-time permanent position is ideal for a motivated culinary professional who is passionate about preparing high-quality Asian-inspired cuisine while working in a supportive and fast-paced kitchen environment.

The successful candidate will play an important role in food preparation, menu development, kitchen operations, and maintaining exceptional food quality and safety standards. • Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with recipes and presentation standards
• Assist with menu planning, recipe development and seasonal menu updates
• Maintain consistency in food quality, taste and portion control
• Monitor food preparation to ensure high standards are maintained
• Manage stock rotation, inventory and ordering requirements
• Minimise food waste through effective stock and kitchen management
• Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety regulations
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff during busy service periods
• Support and assist with the training of junior kitchen team members
• Monitor kitchen equipment and report maintenance requirements
• Contribute to continuous improvement of kitchen operations and customer satisfaction
• Deliver excellent food quality and service standards at all times

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
• Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen operations
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and HACCP principles
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Experience preparing Asian cuisine is highly regarded but not essential
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
