CNC Machinist
Onshore applicants only
The Opportunity
Here is what this hiring manager is after: a hands-on CNC Machinist with 4+ years of recent programming and setting, ready to join the evening shift at a high-precision manufacturing business in Sydney.
Most of the job (70%) happens at the machine, setting and operating, with the remaining time spent on programming, work holding design and final inspection. Jobs range from production runs to prototypes for customers in oil and gas, defence, construction, infrastructure and manufacturing. Any type of CNC machine experience is considered, the business will tailor the role to the person it appoints, and more than one vacancy is open.
To stand out, name the specific machines and controls you have run, give examples of prototype or one-off parts, and mention any CAD-CAM, Fusion360 or Okuma OSP exposure, since those sit on the wish list. Applicants need to be already in Australia with work rights, although visa sponsorship will be considered for the right candidate.
