The Opportunity

This Christchurch rooftop bar is hiring a Duty Manager, and from a recruiter's view the brief is clear. They want an experienced bar leader who can run the floor, handle a high cocktail volume and help shape a small but strong team.

The venue, now in its sixth year, opens Tuesday to Sunday with full table service, sharing plates and seasonal food, and uses Mondays for functions, cocktail competitions, presentation and training. The role is permanent and full-time on a 30-hour minimum contract with rotating closes, evening and weekend shifts, and Friday and Saturday evenings that are fixed. Immediate starts are open, and sponsorship is available for the right candidate.

To stand out, match your application to the duties listed below. Show where you have controlled front-of-house costs or rosters against targets, trained staff and looked after functions.

Your CV should make the licensing obvious at a glance, so list your LCQ and current Duty Managers Certificate in the first section and follow with your bar leadership roles. You can tailor a duty manager CV to this rooftop brief in Build AI CV.
