The opportunity

Recruiters filling this Duty Manager job will be looking for someone who has already run a licensed floor. The business operates a hotel with a beer garden plus a restaurant in a coastal town close to Christchurch, New Zealand, and wants a permanent full-time manager to cover both.

Go through the duties line by line. They cover the everyday running of the venues, steering the service crew, supervising people and reservations, and keeping alcohol service within the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012. You will answer to the venue manager and the general manager in a role with plenty of pace. To stand out, match your application to those points with real examples, such as packed services you ran or licensing questions you handled calmly. The business says this can be a sponsorship role for the right candidate.
