Electrical Estimator & Industrial Electrician

An established electrical engineering and contracting business is seeking experienced professionals to join its growing team in Victoria.

Multiple opportunities are available for Electrical Estimators and Industrial Electricians within a growing organisation delivering projects across commercial, industrial, infrastructure and electrical engineering sectors.

Electrical Estimator

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates and tender submissions
• Review electrical drawings, specifications and project scopes
• Obtain and assess pricing from suppliers and subcontractors
• Identify project risks, opportunities and cost considerations
• Assist with project cost planning and value engineering
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, suppliers and clients
• Support project handover and transition to delivery teams
• Maintain accurate estimating and tender documentation

Industrial Electrician

• Build and wire electrical switchboards and control panels
• Install switchboards and associated electrical equipment on client sites
• Test and commission electrical systems and equipment
• Perform electrical fault-finding, diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Carry out preventative maintenance and electrical repairs
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, drawings and technical documentation
• Work with industrial electrical systems and associated equipment
• Ensure all electrical work complies with Australian Standards and safety requirements
• Maintain a strong focus on workplace health and safety
• Work collaboratively with project teams, clients and other trades

Electrical Estimator

• Previous estimating experience within the electrical industry
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and installations
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, specifications and project documentation
• Experience using electrical estimating software is highly regarded
• Electrical trade background is advantageous
• Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management abilities

Industrial Electrician

• Current Australian Electrical Licence or relevant recognised qualification
• Trade qualification as an Electrician
• Previous industrial electrical experience
• Experience with switchboards, control panels or industrial electrical systems
• Strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Current driver's licence
• Experience with PLCs, MCCs, control systems or automation is highly regarded
• Previous commissioning experience is highly regarded
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
