General Manager
The Opportunity
Our client, a hospitality group with hostels, hybrid hotel-hostel stays and bars and restaurants across Australia and New Zealand, is recruiting a General Manager to open and then run a major new property in Auckland.
What are they looking for? Someone who has already run a busy hotel or hostel, reads a P&L comfortably and understands yield. Food and beverage exposure counts in your favour. Local market knowledge is a plus, not a must. You would lead four heads of department and own the guest experience, culture, results and compliance.
The plan is a January 2027 start and a March opening. The employer is accredited, accepts applications from New Zealand and overseas, and can offer visa sponsorship for the right person.
To stand out, tailor your cover letter (it is required) and your CV to these exact duties, with pre-opening or launch work up front. Shape your CV with Build AI CV so a recruiter sees the match in seconds.
