The Opportunity

Our client is launching an exciting new premium Italian dining venue in Victoria and is seeking experienced hospitality professionals to join the opening team. Opportunities are available for Head Chefs, Chefs, Cooks, Bartenders, and Wait Staff who are passionate about delivering exceptional food, beverages, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily kitchen operations
  • Develop seasonal menus and recipes
  • Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Manage food costing and inventory control
  • Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
  • Coordinate kitchen workflow during service
  • Monitor stock ordering and supplier management
  • Maintain consistency across all menu items
  • Drive continuous kitchen performance and efficiency

Chefs & Cooks

  • Prepare and cook high-quality Italian-inspired dishes
  • Maintain consistency in food preparation and presentation
  • Assist with menu preparation and daily kitchen operations
  • Follow recipes and portion control standards
  • Support stock rotation and inventory management
  • Maintain a clean and organised workstation
  • Work efficiently during busy service periods
  • Comply with food safety and hygiene requirements
  • Assist with kitchen preparation and closing procedures
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team

Bartenders

  • Prepare classic and signature cocktails
  • Serve wine, beer, spirits, and other beverages
  • Prepare quality espresso coffee and hot beverages
  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Maintain bar cleanliness and organisation
  • Monitor stock levels and replenish supplies
  • Process customer orders accurately
  • Recommend beverages and upsell menu items
  • Ensure responsible service of alcohol
  • Support smooth bar operations during service

Wait Staff

  • Provide professional table service
  • Welcome and assist guests throughout their dining experience
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately
  • Serve meals and drinks efficiently
  • Process customer payments using POS systems
  • Recommend menu items and beverages
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining areas
  • Work closely with kitchen and bar teams
  • Handle customer enquiries professionally
  • Deliver outstanding customer service

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Head Chef for Head Chef applicants
  • Previous experience in a similar hospitality role
  • Italian cuisine experience is highly regarded for kitchen positions
  • Experience in busy restaurant environments preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Positive attitude and professional presentation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Coffee-making experience is essential for Bartender positions
  • Wine and beverage knowledge is advantageous for front-of-house roles
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality hospitality experiences
  • Australian work rights or eligibility for employer sponsorship
