• Carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on heavy diesel trucks and trailers
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
• Perform preventative maintenance and vehicle inspections
• Work on a range of transport equipment including prime movers, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and flatbeds
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and industry regulations
• Complete job cards, service reports, and maintenance records accurately
• Support workshop and field service operations when required
• Minimise downtime through efficient fault diagnosis and repairs

• Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Vehicle Mechanics
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, preferably within truck and trailer operations
• Strong experience within the road transport industry
• Experience working with major truck brands highly regarded
• Strong understanding of braking, suspension, hydraulic, and heavy vehicle systems
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex faults
• Experience with fleet maintenance operations advantageous
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Valid driver’s licence required
• HR/HC/MC licences highly desirable
• Additional hydraulic or transport equipment certifications advantageous
