Housekeeping Manager

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Executive Housekeeping Manager to lead a professional hotel housekeeping team in Australia. This role is suited to a confident and organised hospitality professional who can maintain high service standards, coordinate daily operations and build strong relationships with hotel leadership and team members.

You will play a key role in ensuring guest rooms are prepared to a high standard and delivered on time, while maintaining effective staffing, safety, compliance and operational processes.

• Set daily priorities and key tasks for the housekeeping team
• Conduct team briefings and communicate daily operational requirements
• Work closely with hotel leadership to achieve short and long-term quality targets
• Ensure guest rooms are cleaned and delivered on time for guest arrivals
• Monitor team performance and provide additional resources when required
• Manage housekeeping administration, including health and safety, billing and rostering
• Maintain high standards of guest service and presentation
• Build positive working relationships with hotel management and team members
• Ensure effective communication and handover between shifts and teams
• Monitor workplace safety, compliance and operational standards
• Support efficient workforce planning and daily housekeeping operations
• Identify and resolve operational issues in a professional and timely manner

• Previous experience as a Housekeeping Manager or in a senior hotel housekeeping role is highly regarded
• Strong ability to build and maintain professional relationships
• Passion for delivering high-quality hospitality services
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Ability to manage daily priorities efficiently
• Understanding of annualised budgets and operational costs
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• A practical and compliance-focused approach to work
• Well-presented and confident problem-solving attitude
• Ability to lead, motivate and support a housekeeping team
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays when required
• No formal qualification is required
