The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join a growing hospitality accommodation provider in Australia. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a motivated hospitality professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for maintaining exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

You will lead the housekeeping team, ensuring guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards while coordinating daily operations, supporting team performance, and delivering an outstanding guest experience in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the daily operations of the housekeeping department
  • Lead, coach, and motivate housekeeping team members
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in guest rooms and public areas
  • Inspect completed rooms and common areas to ensure quality standards are met
  • Prepare staff rosters and monitor timesheets
  • Coordinate housekeeping activities with other departments
  • Respond to guest requests and resolve housekeeping-related concerns professionally
  • Report maintenance issues promptly and follow up on repairs
  • Monitor housekeeping supplies and assist with inventory control
  • Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Train new employees on cleaning procedures and service expectations
  • Promote a positive, productive, and guest-focused team environment
  • Maintain accurate housekeeping records and operational documentation
  • Support continuous improvement of housekeeping processes and service quality

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Previous experience in a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar leadership role within the hospitality industry
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations and quality standards
  • Experience leading and developing housekeeping teams
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • High attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • Ability to manage staff rosters and daily workflow
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety practices
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
  • Positive attitude with a strong focus on guest satisfaction
