Human Resources Manager

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join a rapidly expanding hospitality group with multiple established venues across New South Wales. This is a senior standalone role offering the opportunity to lead the entire people function while working closely with executive leadership and venue managers.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing people strategies, managing HR operations, overseeing immigration and sponsorship processes, ensuring workplace compliance, and supporting business growth through strong leadership and people-focused initiatives.

• Develop and implement HR and People & Culture strategies aligned with business objectives
• Provide expert HR advice and support to senior leadership and venue managers
• Lead workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee development, and offboarding
• Manage employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture initiatives
• Oversee immigration and visa sponsorship processes, including compliance and renewals
• Liaise with migration agents and legal advisors regarding sponsorship matters
• Ensure compliance with Australian employment legislation, workplace awards, and WHS requirements
• Maintain and update employment contracts, HR policies, and workplace procedures
• Manage employee relations, investigations, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution
• Provide practical guidance on complex HR and employment issues
• Identify and manage people-related risks across the business
• Support new venue openings with workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, and leadership support
• Develop scalable HR systems and processes to support ongoing business growth
• Coach and develop managers to strengthen leadership capability across the organisation
• Maintain accurate HR records and ensure best practice people management

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior Human Resources or People & Culture generalist role
• Relevant qualification in Human Resources, Business, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline
• Previous experience working within the Australian hospitality industry
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and workplace compliance
• Experience managing employer-sponsored visas and immigration processes
• Knowledge of hospitality industry awards and workplace relations
• Ability to work independently while partnering with senior leadership
• Excellent communication, leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong problem-solving, organisational, and decision-making abilities
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality
• Experience supporting organisational growth and multi-site operations is highly regarded
