HVAC Tradesperson / Air Conditioning Technician

A well-established mechanical services business is seeking an experienced Light Vehicle or Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join its team in Western Australia. This hands-on role involves maintaining and repairing fleet vehicles and specialised Ground Support Equipment (GSE), providing valuable exposure to the aviation industry.

The position offers variety, consistent hours of up to 50 hours per week, competitive rates, and a supportive team environment.

• Repair and maintain fleet vehicles and Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
• Diagnose mechanical faults and determine appropriate repair solutions
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs efficiently
• Work with specialised equipment used within aviation environments
• Perform mechanical inspections and identify potential faults
• Apply safe work practices in airside and workshop environments
• Complete daily job records and maintenance documentation
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve maintenance targets
• Communicate professionally with clients and workplace representatives
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
• Assist with general mechanical, diesel, hydraulic and equipment maintenance

• Qualified Light Vehicle Mechanic or Heavy Diesel Mechanic
• Minimum 5 years of relevant mechanical experience
• Experience working across light vehicles, heavy vehicles or heavy equipment
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Proactive, organised and safety-focused approach to work
• Current HR Driver Licence
• Welding experience is advantageous
• Experience with Ground Support Equipment or aviation environments is advantageous
• Diesel, hydraulics or breakdown maintenance experience is advantageous
• Ability to obtain a Police Clearance
• Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
• Ability to pass required drug and alcohol screening
• Willingness to work in an airside environment
