Landscape Gardener

This Auckland employer is looking for a Landscape Gardener who can take a garden from overgrown to immaculate and make clients feel looked after along the way. The company brings design, build and horticulture skills together, so candidates who are comfortable working across trades will stand out.

The employer is accredited and can sponsor the right candidate, and applicants are expected to have the right to work in New Zealand. The position runs 40 hours a week, with part-time and casual roles available as well.

• Keep gardens in top condition through trimming, weeding, pruning, planting and lawn care
• Show the team how it is done and make sure every client receives exceptional service
• Use and service landscaping equipment such as building tools, chainsaws, lawn mowers, power washers, line trimmers and hedge trimmers
• Build good working relationships by communicating with clients and team members and addressing what they need or are worried about

• 2 years or more of landscape gardener experience; ideally your background includes hard landscaping
• A horticultural qualification
• Strong horticultural knowledge and an interest in plants that shows
• Confident communicator who is at ease with clients
• Equally effective in a team or working unsupervised
• Takes instructions on board and hits deadlines
• A full driver's licence for both manual and automatic vehicles (if you need it, training on manual is available)
• Health and safety focus, sharp attention to detail and high initiative, plus a good level of physical fitness
• Right to work in NZ
