The Opportunity

What this Perth employer wants is a tradesperson who can work steel confidently from drawing to finished product. The business, an established fencing manufacturer, is adding a Metal Fabricator / Welder to its manufacturing team for MIG welding and the fabrication of frames, gates and other steel items, and that person can learn other parts of the factory too.

It is a long-term opportunity for skilled people already in Australia with valid working rights; Working Holiday visa holders (417/462) who meet the skills and experience bar are included. Potential sponsorship would be under the subclass 482 Skills in Demand visa and depends on the occupation, skills assessment and immigration requirements.

To stand out, mirror the listed duties in your application, naming the welding processes you use, the products you have fabricated and the machines you can run.

Recruiters shortlist faster when a CV puts the evidence up front, such as your Certificate III/IV or overseas trade certificate and dates you can back with payslips. Shape a welder-ready CV with Build AI CV.
