The Opportunity

An established automotive workshop in Queensland is seeking an experienced Automotive Mechanic to join its team on a full-time basis. This opportunity is suited to a skilled mechanic with practical workshop experience, strong diagnostic abilities and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general vehicle servicing and mechanical repairs
  • Carry out vehicle diagnostics and fault finding
  • Complete brake and suspension repairs
  • Perform engine repairs and related mechanical work
  • Carry out timing belt replacements and other scheduled mechanical work
  • Identify mechanical faults and recommend appropriate repairs
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail
  • Keep the workshop and work areas clean and organised
  • Work independently while following workshop procedures and safety standards

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Qualified Automotive Mechanic preferred
  • Previous automotive workshop experience
  • Strong diagnostic and mechanical problem-solving skills
  • Practical experience with servicing and mechanical repairs
  • Reliable and responsible approach to work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail
  • Valid driver's licence
