The Opportunity

A reputable motorcycle dealership is seeking a qualified and experienced Motorcycle Mechanic to join its professional workshop team in Queensland. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity for a skilled mechanic with strong experience in motorcycle servicing, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance across a range of brands.

The successful candidate will work with modern diagnostic equipment and manufacturer specifications to identify faults, complete repairs and ensure motorcycles are maintained to a high professional standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in motorcycles, engines and related components
  • Dismantle, inspect, repair and reassemble engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, steering and other mechanical components
  • Repair and replace worn, damaged or defective motorcycle parts
  • Carry out scheduled servicing, maintenance, tune-ups, oil changes and lubrication
  • Use diagnostic equipment and computer-based systems to identify and resolve faults
  • Test, adjust and inspect motorcycles following repairs and servicing
  • Follow manufacturer specifications, technical manuals and approved repair procedures
  • Inspect motorcycles and identify required maintenance or repair work
  • Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs, parts used and work completed
  • Ensure all workshop work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard
  • Assist with urgent repairs and breakdown-related mechanical work when required
  • Work collaboratively with other workshop and dealership team members

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Relevant trade qualification in Motorcycle Mechanical Technology or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of relevant motorcycle mechanical experience
  • Proven experience servicing, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing motorcycles
  • Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Experience with motorcycle engines, braking systems, suspension, steering and related components
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment
  • Ability to read and follow technical manuals and manufacturer specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a professional team
