Poultry Farm Manager

We are seeking an experienced Poultry Farm Manager to lead an established broiler operation in New South Wales.

This is a hands-on management opportunity where you’ll take responsibility for the performance, welfare and day-to-day operations of a multi-shed poultry site while leading a dedicated farm team, including an Assistant Manager.

You’ll have the support of an established agricultural operation, experienced management, technical specialists and a wider team, giving you the opportunity to manage your own site while having strong operational support behind you.

• Lead, supervise, roster and develop the farm team
• Manage daily broiler production from placement through to pick-up
• Monitor and maintain bird health, welfare, growth and performance
• Manage feed, water and shed environmental conditions
• Monitor and control ventilation and climate systems throughout the production cycle
• Drive farm performance, efficiency and production targets
• Coordinate shed preparation, clean-out and turnaround activities
• Maintain high standards of biosecurity and animal welfare
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements
• Coordinate maintenance of ventilation systems, feed lines, drinkers, generators and other farm equipment
• Work closely with processor field officers, veterinarians and technical representatives
• Maintain accurate production records and farm documentation
• Monitor farm performance data and identify opportunities for improvement
• Provide regular operational reports to management
• Participate in after-hours and on-call farm responsibilities
• Support continuous improvement and best-practice farming procedures

• Previous hands-on experience in commercial broiler production
• Farm management experience or experience as a strong Poultry 2IC ready to progress into a Farm Manager role
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Good understanding of poultry health, welfare and production practices
• Practical knowledge of poultry shed ventilation and climate control systems
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
• Good record-keeping and computer skills
• Experience using farm management or production software is advantageous
• Current and valid driver’s licence
• Willingness to live on farm and participate in an after-hours/on-call roster
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider management team
