Restaurant manager

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and personable Restaurant Manager to take a leading role in a high-quality hospitality venue in Australia.

This position is ideal for a confident hospitality professional who combines strong restaurant management skills with excellent customer service, relationship-building and commercial awareness. You will be the face of the venue, creating memorable dining experiences while identifying opportunities to increase customer loyalty, repeat business and overall restaurant sales.

The role offers excellent lifestyle-friendly evening hours, with no early mornings or split shifts. The successful candidate may have the opportunity to progress into a full-time position based on performance, experience and suitability.

• Lead and manage daily restaurant operations during evening service
• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a welcoming atmosphere
• Build strong relationships with regular customers and encourage repeat visits
• Engage confidently and professionally with patrons
• Identify opportunities to increase restaurant revenue and average customer spend
• Use tasteful and effective upselling techniques to maximise sales
• Work towards increasing restaurant sales by approximately 15–20% within the first three months
• Create memorable customer experiences that encourage recommendations and return visits
• Lead, motivate and support front-of-house staff
• Maintain high standards of service, presentation and professionalism
• Monitor customer feedback and identify opportunities for service improvement
• Lead by example and remain hands-on during restaurant operations
• Identify operational and commercial opportunities without waiting for direction
• Maintain strong communication between front-of-house staff and management

• Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality management
• Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
• Exceptionally friendly, outgoing and approachable personality
• Professional and polished presentation
• Excellent spoken English and confident communication skills
• Strong conversational and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to build genuine relationships with customers
• Commercially minded with a strong focus on sales and revenue growth
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate hospitality teams
• Strong understanding of restaurant service standards
• Hands-on approach to management and daily operations
• Ability to identify opportunities and take initiative
• Ability to work evening hours from 4:00pm to 9:30pm
