The Opportunity

This employer wants proven abseilers who can step straight into property maintenance at height. It has been in New Zealand commercial maintenance for over 20 years and is filling five permanent, full-time Rope Access Technician seats, with time divided between greater Auckland and Christchurch depending on where the jobs are. Regular travel and overnight stays come with it, plus the occasional quick trip to another region.

Recruiters will look for current tickets, logged hours and readiness for shift work: contracts hold a minimum of 70 hours a fortnight, usually 40 hours a week, on days (7am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday) or nights (6pm to 2am, Monday to Thursday), rostered around a week out. Training and further IRATA levels are available.

The business is an accredited employer and invites IRATA-qualified abseilers presently overseas to reach out, so a sponsored move is on the table for the right person.

To stand out, match your CV to each duty listed below and attach your certificates. Tailor your rope access CV for New Zealand so the shortlist sees your experience at a glance.
