Stonemason
The Opportunity
This Sydney stone manufacturer is looking for a Stonemason who can take a slab all the way to a finished benchtop. Recruiters will screen for proof that you have fabricated both natural and engineered stone, that your mitres and laminated edges are clean, and that you keep quality high in a busy workshop running 100% wet-processing, water-fed fabrication.
The job is full-time, permanent and long term, and can start straight away. Expect Monday to Thursday shifts from 7:30am to 5:00pm and Fridays from 7:30am to 4:00pm, with overtime and Saturday work on offer.

Key Responsibilities
- Turn natural and manufactured stone into kitchen benchtops and other stone products
- Cut, shape and polish stone, then finish it
- Laminate and mitre edges to create high-quality mitred joins and finished edges
- Interpret plans, drawings and measurements
- Work accurately and at pace in a busy production environment
- Keep workmanship standards and attention to detail high
- Follow WHS procedures and company systems
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated stonemasonry experience
- Demonstrated stone fabrication experience
- Work history with both natural and manufactured stone
- Confidence with laminating and mitring
- Confidence with polishing and finishing
- Reads and interprets plans and drawings
- Consistently produces high-quality finishes
- Equally effective working alone or with a team
- Strong eye for detail and pride in the work you deliver
- Reliable, hard-working and efficient in a fast-paced setting
- Physically capable of carrying out the role's demands
- Current driver's licence
- White Card held, or willingness to obtain one
- Desirable: forklift licence (an advantage, not essential)
- 3+ years' relevant industry experience is preferred, but suitably skilled applicants with less experience will be considered too
