You will be responsible for delivering high-quality tax compliance, financial reporting, and advisory services, managing client relationships, and providing practical tax solutions across a variety of entity structures. Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and lodge income tax returns for individuals, sole traders, partnerships, trusts, companies, and self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs)
  • Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, PAYG instalments, and other Australian Taxation Office reporting obligations
  • Manage tax lodgement deadlines and ensure ongoing compliance with Australian taxation requirements
  • Prepare and review financial statements, tax workpapers, and supporting documentation
  • Provide tax planning and advisory services relating to capital gains tax, trust distributions, business structures, and Division 7A matters
  • Manage tax authority correspondence, amendments, objections, audits, and payment arrangements
  • Support clients with bookkeeping and cloud accounting software including Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and professional advice
  • Assist with onboarding new clients and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the practice
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional client outcomes and maintain high professional standards

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Degree qualification in Accounting, Commerce, or Business with a major in Accounting or Taxation
  • Working towards or holding membership with CPA Australia, CA ANZ, IPA, or CTA
  • Minimum 2–4 years' experience in tax compliance within a public practice or registered tax agent environment
  • Demonstrated experience preparing tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts, and SMSFs
  • Strong understanding of Australian taxation legislation including income tax, GST, FBT, and superannuation
  • Experience preparing financial statements and tax compliance documentation
  • Proficiency in Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex taxation matters to clients
  • Ability to manage multiple client engagements while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
