Track Machine Maintainer

A leading rail infrastructure and maintenance company is seeking experienced Track Machine Operators / Maintainers to join their growing operations and maintenance team.

This role involves working with specialised railway track machinery and mechanised plant equipment across major rail maintenance and construction projects. The successful candidate will work within a safety-focused environment supporting the reliability and efficiency of rail networks.

• Operate and maintain specialised railway track machinery and plant equipment
• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance activities
• Perform repairs, calibrations, and major overhaul works on track machines
• Diagnose hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control system faults
• Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
• Support rail maintenance and infrastructure projects safely and efficiently
• Work independently and collaboratively within operations and maintenance teams
• Follow workplace safety procedures and Zero Harm policies
• Travel and work away from home when required

• Experience operating and maintaining railway track machines or similar heavy machinery
• Good understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and control systems
• Ability to read technical schematics and maintenance documentation
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Valid driver’s licence
• Ability to work weekends, nights, and travel when required
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and rail medical requirements
• Mechanical or Electrical trade background highly regarded
• Experience in railway or mining shutdown environments advantageous
