Waitstaff
The Opportunity
What this Christchurch restaurant is really after is proven floor experience. It is recruiting four Waitstaff for its lively Mexican-themed venue in the city centre, and it wants people who can give outstanding service, follow its selling system and still let their personality show on a busy night.
From a recruiter's point of view, the strongest candidates will show at least six months in a similar role or a Level 2 or 3 Diploma, plus a confident grasp of New Zealand liquor laws. Mention the POS systems you have used and how you handle payments.
The restaurant is an accredited employer and can assist through the immigration process if required, so AEWV sponsorship is part of the picture. The role is full-time at 30 or more hours a week, including nights, weekends and summer.
To stand out, tailor your English CV to the listed duties: name the venues, the covers you served, your upselling and your licensing knowledge. You can tailor your waitstaff CV to this restaurant brief in Build AI CV.
