Welder/Fabricator

A well-established engineering and manufacturing business is seeking experienced First-Class Welder/Fabricators to join its growing workshop team in New South Wales.

• Fabricate and weld structural and engineered components to required specifications
• Perform MIG, TIG and Stick welding across various positions
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, plans and specifications
• Measure, cut, fit and assemble fabricated components accurately
• Carry out welding and fabrication work to a high standard of quality
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with engineering requirements
• Operate workshop tools, machinery and fabrication equipment safely
• Complete tasks independently while meeting production deadlines
• Maintain accurate measurements and ensure dimensional accuracy
• Identify and rectify fabrication or welding defects where required
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
• Work collaboratively with other tradespeople and workshop staff
• Undertake varied fabrication projects across heavy engineering applications
• Complete regular overtime, including weekday and Saturday work, as required

• Relevant trade qualification in Welding, Boilermaking or Fabrication
• Demonstrated experience as a First-Class Welder/Fabricator
• Strong workshop-based fabrication experience
• Proven proficiency in MIG, TIG and Stick welding
• Ability to weld in various positions
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Positive attitude and reliable work ethic
• Ability to work overtime when required
• Commitment to workplace health and safety standards
