The opportunity

Here is what the hiring team at a newly sold Sydney pub wants from its next Assistant Chef. They are after cooks or chefs with enthusiasm, fresh ideas and ambition, ready to grow with a venue being reshaped as a lively local hub and sports spot with serious food.

The hotel is due for renovation from end to end, entertainment is expanding and the kitchen feeds several areas at lunch and dinner each day. This is casual work, rostered Monday and Tuesday for both services and Saturday and Sunday for one of them, and the hours should grow with the business. Strong preference goes to people who can start right away, and the venue may be able to offer sponsorship opportunities to the right candidate.

To stand out, mirror the listed duties and show the busy services you have worked and how you kept dishes consistent.
