Boilermaker

A well-established industrial employer is seeking a skilled and experienced Boilermaker to join its team in Queensland. This role is suited to a qualified tradesperson with experience in manufacturing, mining, fabrication or other heavy industrial environments.

• Cut, bend, shape and weld steel sections, plates and related components
• Work closely with the leading hand and fabrication team to complete work efficiently
• Follow established fabrication and work processes
• Ensure customer specifications and requirements are consistently met
• Maintain company quality assurance standards across all completed work
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a professional team
• Assist with training and mentoring apprentices by sharing practical trade skills and safe work methods
• Complete fabrication and boilermaking tasks in manufacturing, mining and heavy industry environments
• Undertake line boring-related work where required
• Follow workplace health, safety and operational procedures at all times

• Australian Trade Qualification in Boilermaking or an equivalent overseas qualification
• Relevant experience in manufacturing, mining, fabrication or heavy industry
• Previous line boring experience is highly regarded
• Strong practical fabrication and welding skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a team
• Ability to work Monday to Saturday, including occasional overtime
• Willingness to work at remote sites when required
• Ability to meet pre-employment medical requirements
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening
