Care Assistant

A trusted opportunity is available for compassionate and qualified Aged Care Workers and Personal Care Assistants to join established aged care providers in Australia.

The role is focused on delivering person-centred care to older people in residential aged care environments. Successful candidates will support residents with their daily needs while helping maintain their dignity, independence, safety and overall wellbeing.

Candidates are assessed against the role requirements and matched with suitable aged care opportunities based on their qualifications, experience and professional background.

• Assist residents with showering, dressing, grooming and toileting
• Support residents with mobility, transfers and the safe use of mobility equipment
• Assist with meals, hydration and feeding when required
• Provide companionship, reassurance and emotional support
• Support residents with daily routines, recreational activities and social engagement
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ health, behaviour or general wellbeing
• Follow individual care plans and established care procedures
• Maintain accurate progress notes, care records and documentation
• Follow infection prevention, manual handling and workplace health and safety procedures
• Work collaboratively with nurses, care workers, allied health professionals and residents’ families
• Respect residents’ privacy, dignity, cultural background and individual preferences
• Promote independence, comfort and quality of life for residents

• Relevant qualification in aged care, healthcare, nursing assistance or personal care
• Previous experience in aged care or disability support is preferred
• Good English communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, respectful and professional approach to providing care
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary care team
• Strong understanding of resident dignity, privacy and person-centred care
• Willingness to complete required screening, police checks and health assessments
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends where required
