CAT Product Support Advisor

We are seeking experienced Product Support Advisors for FIFO opportunities across Western Australia. This role is ideal for skilled heavy mobile plant professionals with strong Caterpillar equipment experience who can combine hands-on technical expertise with customer-focused advisory support.

You will play an important role in improving the performance, reliability and availability of heavy mining equipment across major operations. The position combines field diagnostics, equipment inspections, preventative maintenance support, component change-outs and continuous improvement activities.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair and maintain Caterpillar heavy mobile equipment
• Conduct equipment inspections and identify potential maintenance and reliability issues
• Provide technical advice and support to frontline maintenance teams
• Assist with planned component change-outs and warranty-related activities
• Perform fault-finding and diagnostics to minimise equipment downtime
• Support preventative maintenance strategies and equipment optimisation
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and reduce operating costs
• Drive and participate in continuous improvement initiatives across customer operations
• Provide approximately 60% technical advisory support and 40% hands-on tooling, depending on site requirements
• Maintain accurate technical information, reports and maintenance documentation
• Support customer relationships through professional communication and reliable technical advice
• Assist with training, inspections and technical knowledge sharing when required
• Work safely and maintain compliance with site procedures, standards and regulations
• Operate site support vehicles where required and authorised

• Australian-recognised Mobile Plant Trade Certificate or equivalent overseas qualification
• Proven experience working with large Caterpillar mining equipment and fleets
• Previous mine-site or field-service experience
• Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities
• Ability to provide technical advice and practical support to maintenance teams
• Strong understanding of preventative maintenance and equipment reliability
• Willingness to undertake both advisory and hands-on mechanical work
• Strong communication and customer relationship-building skills
• Ability to work effectively in FIFO mining environments
• Relevant high-risk work licences such as Forklift, EWP, Dogging, Rigging or Working at Heights will be highly regarded
• Ability to work extended FIFO rosters and 12-hour shifts
