The opportunity
Here is the recruiter's read on this one. A large, modern community club on the Sunshine Coast wants casual chefs who can hold their own across a kitchen serving several food and beverage outlets, an events and function centre and a sports bar. The right person can expect 35-40 hours a week, and there may be more than one opening.
The brief is simple but demanding. The club wants someone who eases the head chef's service, never cuts corners on the Food Safety Act or the food safety system, and sends out food that looks and tastes the same in every outlet. To stand out, show high-volume, multi-outlet or function work and any bistro menus you have cooked.
The path is staged. You start casual, and after an agreeable trial the employer will consider sponsorship for the right applicant. Holding Australian work rights when you apply is a must.
Shortlists here will favour CVs that match the duties closely, so list your commercial kitchen years, bistro experience and food safety practice. Tailor your hospitality CV with Build AI CV and line it up with this brief.
