The Opportunity

An established Australian manufacturing company is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Operator to join its growing production team in New South Wales.

This role involves programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery to manufacture high-precision components in accordance with engineering drawings and quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled machinists looking for long-term employment and potential visa sponsorship in Australia.

Key Responsibilities

Program CNC machines using G-code and/or CAD/CAM software
Set up and operate CNC lathes, milling machines, and machining centres
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and materials
Manufacture precision components to required tolerances
Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
Troubleshoot machining and programming issues
Perform machine setup adjustments and routine maintenance
Follow workplace health and safety procedures
Work independently and collaboratively within the production team

Requirements & Eligibility

AQF Certificate III or higher in Engineering (Mechanical / Metal Machining), OR
Minimum 3 years of full-time experience as a CNC Programmer / Operator or Metal Machinist
Strong knowledge of CNC programming and machining processes
Experience with CAD/CAM software is advantageous
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
High attention to detail and strong quality focus
Mechanical Engineering qualification advantageous
Strong problem-solving skills
Reliable and safety-focused work ethic
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
