Coded Welder

An established engineering and maintenance organisation is seeking experienced Coded Welders to join its ongoing operations in Western Australia. This opportunity is suited to qualified welders with proven experience in structural fabrication, fixed plant maintenance and 6G welding.

The role offers consistent work across maintenance programs, shutdowns, breakdowns, repairs and fabrication projects. Candidates with strong practical skills, relevant trade qualifications and verifiable industry experience are encouraged to apply.

• Perform coded welding and structural fabrication work to required standards
• Complete 6G welding on structural steel and pressure pipe
• Carry out maintenance and repairs on fixed plant equipment
• Repair and replace worn components, pipework and structural elements
• Work on thickeners, pumps, chutes, hoppers, tanks and ductwork
• Fabricate and modify structural supports and associated equipment
• Interpret engineering drawings, plans and job specifications
• Complete fabrication and repair work safely, accurately and within required timeframes
• Support workshop fabrication and on-site maintenance activities
• Assist with breakdown maintenance and shutdown projects
• Complete preventative and corrective maintenance tasks
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and site compliance

• Proven experience as a Coded Welder
• Ability to successfully pass a 6G weld test
• Cert III Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering trade qualification
• Demonstrated experience in structural fabrication and maintenance welding
• Experience with fixed plant equipment is highly regarded
• Current Working at Heights certification
• Current Confined Space certification
• Working at Heights and Confined Space certifications issued within the past 2 years
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
• Current driver's licence
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
• Relevant and verifiable trade experience
