Diesel motor mechanic

A well-established automotive service provider in Western Australia is seeking an experienced Diesel Motor Mechanic to join its growing team on a full-time basis. • Diagnose mechanical faults in diesel engines and vehicle systems using diagnostic equipment
• Perform routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on diesel vehicles
• Repair and replace faulty engine, fuel, turbocharger and related diesel components
• Conduct comprehensive vehicle inspections and prepare service recommendations
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
• Complete all work safely, efficiently and in accordance with industry standards
• Communicate repair requirements and service updates professionally with customers
• Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good working condition
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
• Work independently and collaboratively to meet workshop deadlines
• Assist with vehicle movements and deliveries when required
• Support continuous improvement in workshop operations and service quality

• Recognised trade qualification as a Diesel Motor Mechanic or equivalent
• Proven experience servicing and repairing diesel engines and vehicle systems
• Strong knowledge of diesel fuel systems, electrical systems and engine diagnostics
• Experience using modern diagnostic tools and workshop equipment
• Excellent mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Good communication skills with a customer-focused approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Current Australian Driver Licence
• Current First Aid Certificate is desirable
