Directional Driller / Directional Drill Tracker

We are seeking an experienced Directional Driller or Directional Drill Tracker to join an established team in South Australia.

This opportunity is suited to skilled HDD professionals with proven experience operating or tracking directional drilling equipment. Experience in service locating will also be highly regarded.

Sponsorship available for suitably qualified and experienced overseas HDD professionals seeking to relocate to Australia for long-term employment.

The role offers the opportunity to work across a range of infrastructure projects including power, communications, water, sewer and gas.

The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong technical capability alongside a reliable attitude, commitment to safety and pride in delivering quality work.

• Operate and/or track horizontal directional drilling equipment across infrastructure projects
• Support HDD operations across power, communications, water, sewer and gas projects
• Monitor drilling activities and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
• Follow project plans, company procedures and site requirements
• Assist with service locating and underground asset identification where required
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and environmental requirements
• Complete required project documentation and operational records
• Work collaboratively with drilling crews, supervisors and other site personnel
• Maintain equipment and identify operational issues when required
• Apply systematic and organised approaches to daily drilling activities
• Maintain professional communication with team members and project stakeholders
• Contribute to a positive workplace culture through reliability and strong work ethic

• Previous experience as a Directional Driller, Directional Drill Operator or Drill Tracker
• Proven experience in horizontal directional drilling operations
• Service locating experience will be highly regarded
• Relevant industry qualifications, licences or accreditations
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
• Reliable and professional approach to work
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Ability to follow company systems, procedures and documentation requirements
• Strong commitment to quality, safety and compliance
• Ability to work across different infrastructure projects and environments
• Professional presentation and positive attitude
