Duty Manager
Onshore applicants only
The Opportunity
What this hiring manager wants is a Duty Manager who can own the floor: someone already comfortable leading a shift, holding the licence and keeping a team of servers on the venue's systems. The setting is a licensed waterfront restaurant and café near Nelson, New Zealand, with room for 200 guests, daily trading and a sharp summer rush.
To stand out, match your application to the duties. Show where you have briefed and coached a team, managed cash-up and handovers, and handled tricky guests without drama. Wine and beverage knowledge and familiarity with booking and POS tools will also count. The job is permanent with a minimum of 30 hours a week, including weekends and public holidays.
The business is an accredited employer and may be able to support a sponsored work visa for the right person, but applicants need to hold New Zealand work rights already.
