Earthworks and Roads Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Earthworks & Road Construction Supervisor to join a growing civil construction team delivering major infrastructure projects across Queensland.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with extensive experience in road construction, bulk earthworks, and pavement works. You will oversee daily site operations, coordinate crews and subcontractors, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

• Supervise daily earthworks, roadworks, and pavement construction activities
• Coordinate site crews, subcontractors, plant, and construction resources
• Manage bulk earthworks, subgrade preparation, pavement construction, drainage, and roadworks
• Ensure all works comply with project specifications and relevant road authority standards
• Monitor project progress, productivity, quality, and construction schedules
• Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project plans
• Conduct pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, and site safety inspections
• Maintain quality assurance documentation, daily site records, and progress reports
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, surveyors, clients, and testing authorities
• Identify construction issues and implement practical solutions to maintain project timelines
• Ensure testing requirements, inspections, and quality hold points are achieved
• Lead teams while promoting a safe and productive work environment

• Minimum 5 years of experience supervising earthworks and road construction projects
• Strong experience in bulk earthworks, pavement construction, roadworks, and drainage infrastructure
• Knowledge of road construction standards and quality assurance requirements
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
• Proven leadership experience managing site teams and subcontractors
• Current Construction White Card
• Current Driver's Licence
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Civil Construction (preferred)
• Current First Aid Certificate (preferred)
• Traffic Management qualifications (preferred)
• Knowledge of GPS machine control and survey systems (preferred)
• Experience on major civil infrastructure projects will be highly regarded
