Electrical Crane Technician

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Electrical Crane Technician to join a leading industrial equipment service provider in New South Wales (NSW). Sponsorship is available for suitable candidates.

This full-time field service role involves servicing, maintaining, diagnosing faults, and repairing overhead cranes, hoists, gantries, and other lifting equipment across a range of industrial sites. You will work independently while being supported by an experienced technical team in a stable and growing organisation that offers excellent career development opportunities.

• Carry out electrical fault finding and diagnostics on overhead cranes and lifting equipment
• Perform breakdown repairs and emergency call-outs
• Complete preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections
• Test, commission, and troubleshoot crane electrical systems
• Service motors, contactors, variable speed drives (VSDs), limit switches, and control systems
• Complete accurate service reports and maintenance documentation
• Ensure all work complies with electrical safety standards and company procedures
• Maintain a high standard of customer service while working on client sites
• Participate in an on-call roster when required
• Work independently while collaborating with the wider service team

• Relevant electrical trade qualification
• Experience servicing and maintaining overhead cranes, hoists, gantries, or similar industrial equipment
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Knowledge of motors, VSDs, contactors, limit switches, and industrial control systems
• Ability to work independently and manage field service responsibilities
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to workplace health and safety standards
• Current driver's licence
