The Opportunity

We are seeking an energetic and organised Events & Marketing Manager to oversee events, professional development programs, marketing initiatives, communications, and member engagement activities across Western Australia.

This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of events and stakeholder engagement programs while contributing to the growth and success of a respected professional organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality experiences, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, and supporting strategic growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver conferences, seminars, networking events, and professional development programs
  • Manage event logistics including venues, speakers, registrations, sponsorship deliverables, and budgets
  • Coordinate large-scale industry events, awards programs, and member engagement initiatives
  • Monitor and evaluate event performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns across digital channels, email marketing, social media, and website platforms
  • Prepare and distribute communications, promotional materials, and member updates
  • Maintain accurate and engaging website, event, and promotional content
  • Provide high-quality support and service to members and stakeholders
  • Promote membership growth, professional development opportunities, and career pathways
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members, volunteers, committees, sponsors, and industry partners
  • Support sponsorship acquisition, engagement, and benefit delivery
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships and enhance member value
  • Collaborate with internal teams to achieve organisational objectives and program outcomes

Requirements & Eligibility

  • Previous experience coordinating conferences, events, professional development programs, or member engagement activities
  • Strong marketing, communications, and stakeholder relationship management skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong customer service orientation and commitment to delivering exceptional experiences
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience using CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and digital communication tools
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and website content management systems is desirable
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with remote and distributed teams
  • Qualifications in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field are highly regarded
  • Experience within a membership organisation, professional association, or not-for-profit environment is advantageous
  • Experience working with sponsors, volunteers, and committees is desirable
  • Knowledge of planning, property, government, infrastructure, or related sectors is beneficial
  • Strong problem-solving, time management, and stakeholder engagement skills
