Fabricator Welder

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Fabricator Welder to join a growing industrial maintenance and fabrication business in New Zealand. This hands-on role involves working across quarries, concrete plants, and industrial sites, carrying out fabrication, welding, maintenance, shutdown, and breakdown work in demanding environments.

• Fabricate, repair, and install steel components and structures
• Perform MIG, Stick, and Flux Core welding to a high standard
• Carry out gas cutting, gouging, grinding, and general fabrication work
• Undertake heavy steel fabrication and repair work
• Fabricate and repair equipment both in the workshop and on-site
• Perform maintenance, shutdown, and breakdown repairs on industrial equipment
• Interpret drawings, measurements, and project specifications
• Work independently to diagnose and solve fabrication and maintenance issues
• Travel to customer and project sites as required
• Maintain compliance with workplace health and safety requirements

• Trade qualification in Fabrication, Welding, or a related field
• Proven experience in fabrication and welding within industrial environments
• Strong skills in MIG, Stick, and Flux Core welding
• Experience with heavy steel fabrication and industrial maintenance
• Ability to fabricate and repair equipment with minimal supervision
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
• Physically fit and capable of working in demanding industrial environments
• Willingness to complete site inductions, medical assessments, and safety requirements
