A leading Australian engineering and maintenance company is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for workshop and site-based work across Victoria. The role involves maintenance, refurbishment, fault finding, and mechanical fitting work on fixed plant and mobile equipment within heavy industrial environments.

• Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
• Assemble and fit metal parts, machinery, and equipment
• Perform maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on heavy industrial machinery
• Inspect and measure components to ensure precision and accuracy
• Conduct hydraulic and pneumatic pipe and line maintenance
• Use cutting, grinding, pressing, threading, and bending processes
• Carry out workshop fabrication and on-site mechanical maintenance
• Assist with equipment overhauls and refurbishment works
• Follow workplace safety procedures and site compliance requirements

• Recognised trade qualification in Fitting & Turning or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy industry, workshop, or site environments
• Experience working on fixed plant and mobile equipment
• Strong fault-finding and mechanical repair skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Current driver licence required
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical assessments
• Leadership experience is advantageous
