Goldfields Field Service - HD Mechanic

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join a field service team supporting heavy mobile equipment across Western Australia.

This is an excellent opportunity for a trade-qualified mechanic who enjoys working independently in the field, solving technical problems, and delivering high-quality workmanship. The role offers a varied workload, including diagnostics, breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance, shutdown support and equipment moves.

You will work with a supportive team and engage directly with clients and site representatives while building a long-term career in the mining and heavy equipment sector.

• Perform field service repairs, diagnostics and maintenance on heavy mobile equipment
• Attend equipment breakdowns and identify faults efficiently
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance
• Support shutdowns and equipment movements when required
• Deliver a consistently high standard of workmanship
• Work with OEM equipment, including major heavy equipment brands
• Communicate professionally with clients, site representatives and team members
• Manage assigned work scopes and complete tasks within required deadlines
• Maintain accurate service documentation and reporting
• Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a strong safety focus
• Work effectively as part of a professional field service team

• Australian-recognised Heavy Diesel trade qualification or an equivalent relevant qualification
• Proven experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
• Experience working on heavy mobile equipment and major OEM machinery
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently in a field service environment
• Valid Australian driver's licence or eligibility to obtain the required licence
• High Risk Work Licence for LF and/or WP is preferred
• Ability to complete a pre-employment medical assessment
• Ability to complete drug and alcohol screening
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Good communication and documentation skills
