The Opportunity

Take your heavy-duty mechanical expertise to the USA and work with major mining operations maintaining world-class mobile plant and mining equipment. This opportunity is suited to experienced, trade-qualified HD Mechanics who can demonstrate strong technical capability, diagnostic skills and hands-on experience across leading OEM equipment.

A 12-month contract is available, with potential for extension based on operational requirements. Sponsorship and relocation support are available, providing an opportunity to use your verified trade experience in an international mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and repair heavy mobile plant and mining equipment
Carry out scheduled servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance
Diagnose mechanical faults and complete effective troubleshooting
Perform repairs and component replacements to required standards
Work across Sandvik, Epiroc, CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi and similar OEM equipment
Identify equipment issues and minimise mechanical downtime
Complete maintenance tasks safely and efficiently in a mining environment
Use diagnostic equipment and technical information to identify faults
Maintain accurate service and maintenance records
Work collaboratively with site maintenance and operational teams
Follow workplace health, safety and environmental procedures
Support reliable equipment performance throughout the roster

Requirements & Eligibility

Trade qualification as a Mobile Plant Mechanic, Heavy Diesel Mechanic or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of post-trade experience
Strong hands-on experience with heavy mobile plant or mining equipment
Experience with OEM equipment such as Sandvik, Epiroc, CAT, Komatsu or Hitachi
Strong mechanical diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Experience working in demanding mining or heavy-equipment environments
Ability to work a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster
Strong commitment to workplace safety and maintenance standards
Proactive approach to problem solving and equipment maintenance
Willingness to relocate to the USA
