Heavy Diesel Mechanic

A leading Australian business is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join its growing operations team in Western Australia. This role offers a mix of workshop and field service work across heavy diesel vehicles, trucks, civil construction plant, and heavy equipment.

• Service, diagnose and repair heavy diesel vehicles, trucks, plant and equipment
• Carry out fault finding, breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance
• Perform field service work using a fully equipped service vehicle
• Inspect, test and maintain machinery to ensure safe and reliable operation
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards
• Support workshop operations and work collaboratively with team members
• Maintain accurate service, maintenance and repair records
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
• Ensure equipment remains operational and available for business requirements

• Relevant trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Motor Mechanic or equivalent
• Minimum five years of relevant industry experience preferred
• Demonstrated experience working on heavy diesel vehicles, trucks, plant or civil construction equipment
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
• Current driver's licence
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
